General Information ;
“In a late version of the Medusa myth… Medusa was originally a beautiful maiden, ‘the jealous aspiration of many suitors,’ priestess in Athena’s temple, but when she was raped by the ‘Lord of the Sea’ Poseidon in Athena’s temple, the enraged Athena transformed Medusa’s beautiful hair to serpents and made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of it would turn men to stone…Perseus describes Medusa’s punishment by Athena as just and well-deserved. It comes full circle, in retrospect that Poseidon, a man, defiled her, and Perseus a man ultimately killed her.”

About Em ;
Medusa died at the hands of Perseus, just like the legends. In this rendition, she gained Hades’ favor in the Underworld and he brought her back into the world of the living, removing her green-tinted skin and restored her beauty as it once was. It was the most he could do. Athena’s spell was too great to reverse the snake hair and red eyes. Hades warned her that if a man or god were to look into her eyes he would instantly turn to stone, he apologetically handed her a wig and a pair of sunglasses. When she went topside, it was the year 1977.
Maybe the Fates were giving her a second chance, but this time, she did not want the favor of a man. She wanted them to burn.
Currently, she owns a private art gallery, showcasing her own “contemporary, life-like sculptures.” With the money she made, she purchased a high-end suite at an apartment complex in the heart of Chicago. She enjoys the company of men, if only to bait them into becoming her newest piece. Only recently has one stolen her heart—and the snake fell hard for the dragon.
